Author Scott Ligon talks about iPads and the mobile revolution.

Digital Art Revolution author Scott Ligon has created a 48 page how-to comic book, available only on the iBookstore for the iPad.

Learn two essential apps, Keynote and Pages for the iPad quickly and easily in words and pictures.

Last year, Scott spearheaded the academic launch of the Digital Canvas Initiative at the Cleveland Institute of Art, where iPads have been incorporated into the Foundation Curriculum.

From the introduction:

“I am a huge fan of comic books and graphic novels. I had the idea that words and pictures together, a graphic narrative, could be a really efficient way of conveying this kind of information, especially with the intuitive iPad interface, operated by natural human gestures and movements.

Instead of describing something in detail in text or having it covered quickly in a video, the text can simply say ‘tap here’ and the picture shows you where to tap.

Available only for iPad in the iBookstore. $1.99
